Brian Dunne by Brian Dunne is the very first release on the new label PMD Records.
Brian has been performing in America for several years, but after Danny Vera heard his song "New Tattoo," things really took off in the Netherlands. Brian knew from a young age that he wanted to be a musician and seized every opportunity to make music. After a few years of playing guitar and piano, he started writing his own songs.
His album "Brian Dunne" is full of personal stories wrapped in songs full of powerful metaphors. His blend of vulnerable folk and rock effortlessly creates the nostalgic atmosphere of cassette tapes.
PMD (Pressure Makes Diamonds) is a collaboration between Excelsior Recordings and Danny Vera. "Together with my label, Excelsior Recordings, I can help release music by artists we both believe in. Artists who deserve to be heard. That's why we're starting PMD, Pressure Makes Diamonds."
Now the time has come. The first artist to release music through PMD is Brian Dunne. Expressive songs, a voice that delivers emotional impact, and a great head. That's how Danny Vera describes American singer-songwriter Brian Dunne.
Songs that teeter on the edge of the personal and the political. Narrative songs, too, in which the singer, who sometimes evokes a cross between Bruce Springsteen and Jackson Browne, doesn't spare himself.
