An iron-on patch uses a heat-activated adhesive on the back: the heat of an iron melts this adhesive, permanently adhering the patch to the fabric. After cooling, the patch is firmly attached.

How it works

Preparation: Make sure the fabric is clean and dry. Heat your iron (usually on the "cotton" setting, without steam) and iron the area where the patch will be placed until it is smooth and warm.
Application: Place the patch, adhesive-side down, on the desired location on the fabric.
Protection: Place a thin cloth, baking paper, or a special pressing cloth over the patch to protect the fabric.
Ironing: Press the iron firmly onto the patch without sliding (about 15–30 seconds). Cooling: Let the patch cool completely; this is essential for good adhesion.
Optional: For extra strength, you can iron the patch inside out after ironing or sew it in place with a few stitches.

Important Tips

No Steam: Do not use the steam function on your iron.

Heat: Work on a hard, flat surface (not a soft ironing board).

Washing: Wash the garment inside out at a maximum of 40°C and do not tumble dry to prevent peeling.
